20" wheels, with drop,

I know this has probab;y been brought up many times, I tried a search but it was too generic...

I was wondering if some of the members here could post their trucks (preferably shortbeds) on 20" wheels, with what drop they have. My truck is lowered, but I don't know what methods were used.. And I don't know where to start in ordering parts. Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse here,

Re: 20" wheels, with drop,

Alot of guys are doing the flip kit out back that will give you about 5-5.5" of drop. Then using spindles, and springs to get the front where you want them. Like a combo of 2.5" spindles, and a some cut off the spring. Just depends on how low you really want to go.

Re: 20" wheels, with drop,

Thanks! I guess the stance I want is the stance on the yellow/white square that hill's put together. I have the specs on it in a magazine in my big truck but I'm away from it at the moment. I can't find any info on it online either

PM Cheese about it. He can probably tell you way more info than any magazine article will have. And you know if will be right too.

IIRC, the mag article with the build listed it, but I can't find any write ups of it online

Re: 20" wheels, with drop,

The yellow truck has the mcgaughys 4/6 drop kit on it with "a little" more taken off the front.. Cheese said the billet specialties' are 20x10 all around with a 275/35/20.

The truck also looks good with the bonspeed palisades that picture can be seen on bonspeeds website.

Re: 20" wheels, with drop,

That truck most likely looks lower than normal drops because of the short sidewall on the tires...

sweet! good ol' longmont

sweet! there are a few pics of it in this thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=317305

it was a full resto back in 94ish by a guy in iowa who then brought it to colorado and ended up selling it. I think it was a great buy, the more I find about it and learn about it.

5/7 w/20x8.5's & 255-40's; 20x10's & 295-40's. Front tires were too tall to drive w/the stock inner wheel wells....

Re: 20" wheels, with drop,

Thanks scoti!

My front tires are 275/35 that's what was on the wheels when I got them. Rear are a little taller. I need to figure out what mine has done but I think a 5/7 is what I need. Thanks all!

Put the wheels on tonight, got my 2" rear wheel spacers today. It needs to be lowered more. and I really don't want to run spacers but down the road I will get 20x10's
my brother and I got a $40 junkyard bumper. next I'm getting cheap chrome handles for now, break up the purple!
