you want a 2 channel for a set of compnets if you have rear speakers also 4 total and your tweeters you want to use a 4channel but you can also run the componets on a 4 channel and use the other 2 channels for a sub if you wanted some bass

you want a 2 channel that is not strickly a bass amp which most arnt just for bass there will be a cross over switch on the amp that has settings for hp (high pass) LP ( low pass)
and FULL you want the amp set to full

low pass=bass only
high pass=treble only
full=treble mid and bass
