ECE Extreme Drop Crossmember - What Headers?H

Hey all!

I've got my extreme drop crossmember from Early Classic installed on my '66.. I'm wondering what headers others using that dont drop below the frame so the exhaust can be routed cleanly thru the crossmember. I'm planning on using tubular motor perches, so that will help with clearance. Also, I'm running an auto trans so no linkage to worry about either.

Thanks for your help!

I think ECE sells a short/mid length header.
Alot of the 67-72 guys are using the early Chevelle "shorty" headers.
Several companies make them.

I'm running Hooker shorty "G" body headers,78-88 Monte Carlo/El Camino. Fit fine and the collectors will be above the bottom of the frame.

Heddman #69230's should work for you. They don't hang below the bottom of the frame.

And you can check them out from any angle with this cool feature that Summit has......http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HED-69230/?rtype=7

Looks cool, do you have any pics of these on a truck?

Thanks!

Re: ECE Extreme Drop Crossmember - What Headers?H

I don't have my set installed yet, but there are some pics in this thread. Even though they are of a 4x4 the frames are the same profile. So when installed on a 2wd they will be the same fit as on a 4x.
