help with wheels

im looking for help on wheels i am going for the pro street look on my 77 swb so i was woundering how wide of wheel and back spacing i would need i can run with out narrowing or linking the rear i have heard of guys running a 15x12 with 7.50 back spacing all he had to do was tub the bed i want to run about a 16" wide tire

To run a 7.5 backspacing you are going to have to 4 link the rear end or move the leaf springs inboard to keep you factory suspension you can only run about a 5 inch backspacing and that is getting very very tight. I am running 15x12 wheels with a 4.5 backspacing with 15 inch tires on a 73 stepside. The tires stick past the lip just a hair but not bad enough to worry about since I am not going to lower mine very much
