I do not like Armor-All (sp?) anymore
I have a soft bed cover. Used AA on it a few days ago. Washed the truck today. The AA stuff ran off the cover and got all over the side of the truck. Got on it quickly with a towel, so no harm done.
Don't want that to happen again. What's a good "dressing" for a soft bed cover? (tonneau) Thanks |

Yes, I've tried STP - you son of a gun.
It REALLY smeared up the paint. |

Maguire tire dressing. works great on plasitc... armor all sucks ass, i stopped using it years ago.
the best stuff ever was a called bumper magic. hard to find the stuff, but well worth it.. the Maguires is almost as good.

If your truck spends any time in the weather, you will constantly be applying Armor-all, STP,etc. I had a soft tonneau on one of my trucks and I gave up on that stuff. The problem is the surface is horizontal and it doesn't last very long.

I agree with 70c10, however I do like Meguire's #40 for interior stuff and occasionally use it for the tonneau.

PEANUT BUTTER
Try it it works good, taste good too! Really, if you apply it it looks great until you wash your vehicle and then it comes off without wrecking anything. Try it on your tires first if you don't believe me. It works real good on the plastics of newer cars since that black plastic turns to grey real quick.

I heard from the place that re-upolstered the seats in my Cadillac that Armor All is some of the worst stuff that you can put on vinyl, or rubber, leather, etc. because it contains chemicals that actually dry out the material and cause it to age faster.

I use a stuff called Nu-Vinyl on the interior and tires. I like it better than ARmor All, but don't know how it would do on a tonneau. Smells a lot better than AA or son of a gun though.
