700R4 with Rochester QuadraJet Carb Combination
Anyone with the 700R4 tranny and Rochester QuadraJet carb combination...what did you use for a TV cable & throttle cable bracket? Having trouble getting everything working together properly. Pictures would be helpful.

No pics of mine, sorry...but I started off with a bracket for an '80s GM truck, cutting most of it off (has holes for a decent amount of stuff...) and the TV cable for the same. The vehicle source is honestly not terribly important, seeing as a 700R4 behind a given engine is going to need the same length TV cable whether it's in a Corvette or a Suburban, heh...
Take a look at the post on the FAQ board, one of the links in there has some really good info on how to set your TV up properly. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...threadid=33266

I used P/N 25515598 Throttle valve cable and P/N 22504927 Bracket . The bracket bolts to the two back carb. bolts and has the cut outs for the T.V. cable and the throttle cable. I had to elongate holes in bracket but it works good and looks factory. Both parts are still available from GM.

I used the kit from Bowtie Overdrives. You have to have the right Q-jet... They make a custom bracket for about 3 different types of linkage.

If you have access to a mid 80's chevy truck you can look at that. They have 700's w/ quadrajets

I'm running a 327/700r4 combo & I tried the summit brackey but it flexed too much at full throttle preventing down shift... I snagged a bracket from a mid '80ies caprice & it works tip-top. The cable i used came from an '84 camaro 305/700r4 combo. To run the lock-up i used the painless wireing kit & it too works excellent. sorry but i have no digi cam...

the one I got from summit is beefy as hell and definitely won't bend... they must offer more than one style/brand....
