Power Steering: Please Help!
Ok i have a 81 inline, removed the integral head and replaced w/ a 67 non-integral head...I want to retain my power steering...which bracket do I need? Someone with pictures please post...Do I need to bracket AND pulley? Any pictures of the correct setup is much appreciated.
Also, on a side note, I got me a used Offy intake...it has 2 ports on the right side...what are these for? Possibly a PCV vent? It appears that some folks have theirs blocked off, but mine have two open ports...I wouldn't think vacuum, but I'm not sure...any help on either or both of these issues would be great. Thanks! Re: Power Steering: Please Help!
The ports are vacuum ports and most just block them off. I preferred to run my db booster to the port at the front of the carb.
For the brackets and pully, you'll need all that. Not sure if these pics will help, but there you go...

Re: Power Steering: Please Help!
Thanks...I pulled the bracket that was holding on the alternator on the 67, but it looks like I need to go back and get that pulley and maybe another bracket? There were a few inlines last time I went, I'll have to go look at them again...but again, thanks for the help.

A word of advice- if the engines are 73ish and older get all the brackets and pulleys you can off those 6's. They're like hens teeth- very collectible and hard to find. Let me know what you get as I'm looking for a particular bracket to complete a set I have.

Brad's right, they are getting harder to find. It's also amazing how many people forget the pulleys when they take a set off.I know I forgot them. It's a major pain to scrounge up the right ones also.
