Did I get a deal? V8 guys need not answer lol!!!

Picked up Clifford 4bbl intake from a guy on craigslist he had it listed for $100 I got it for $50. I've been watching them sell on ebay for 300 and up. As you can tell someone welded the plate on but it looks like they did a good job they also welded near the flange but i dont see any cracks on the inside I'm gonna give it a shot and see what happens.

Got the same one on my truck.

You did good on that deal!

Just wondering, does it do any good to drop a four barrel on a bone stock six cylinder?

I left the single barrel on mine because I did not put a larger cam in it or anything. Will a four barrel help performance on a stock six? What size do ya'll run?

Oh yes, and then some. I put 390 holleys on my CJ inline sixes/with Clifford intakes.....difference is night and day.

As long as you dont get carried away with carb size like leddzepp said a 390 would be fine I would think. I'm gonna do a cam swap and a Holley economaster which I think run around 450. They built them for gas milage during the 70s, but the small butterflies help with torque. I've only had them on small blocks in the past but I think it will work great on my 292. After all I'm only 10ci from a 302 and they came stock with 4 bbls.
