Jimmy down :(

Here is my 89 Jimmy......
Now here are the bad picture:

The good news is that I did not even get a scratch in the wreck.

Here is my new project which is great but I had that Jimmy for 9 years and I had planned on never getting rid of it.

Oh my! I can honestly say that I do not think that will buff out. Glad to hear you came out unscathed.

Re: Jimmy down :(

I was doing about 55 heading north when a car coming the other direction turned into me and I went over his hood.

Re: Jimmy down :(

Hate to see a really nice one totalled, but good to hear you are OK. I'm really surprised to see the half-cab flattened out that bad, I've read somewhere there's an internal roll bar. I guess it did it's part protecting you and gave up the ghost in the process.

Looks like you have a worthy project waiting in the wings, it looks like it could easily be as nice as the Blazer.

Glad you're OK.

Re: Jimmy down :(

Yep, there is an internal roll bar but it is not a circle. It is more like an oval in shape so after several flips it finally collapsed on one side but luckily the passenger. And yeah, I pretty much took the front of their car off. It was 5 teenagers and if I had hit them in the cab it would have been really bad.

Thank God everyone came out ok. And your girls were'nt w/ you. I know my daughter likes to go everywhere daddy goes. I know you're thankful that wasn't the case this time.

Wow. Good to hear you are ok. You could keep the jimmy and use it for parts.

Re: Jimmy down :(

Yeah guys... It is a blessing my girls were not with me and yep I kept it for parts. It is hard to believe but the cooling system is even intact. The whole drive train is still good.

Re: Jimmy down :(

Wow, very sorry to see all that damage but thankfully it was the truck and not you.
I hope insurance is helping you out with that.
