Push button start

Has anyone ever hooked one up??
I'm having trouble with mine
there are 3 wires (blue,red,black)
blue goes to the coil
and in the instructions it says red goes to the positive side of the "gauge" and black goes to the negative side of the "gauge"
I think that the red and black have to do something with starter but idk
help me out please

Re: Push button start

Ok, you should have a wire that provides power to the switch panel that you will need to connect constant power to (or switched if you still plan to use the key). There will be a wire coming off the back of the ignition switch that should be hot when the switch is on. This wire needs to go to the "BATT" terminal on your distributor. You should really use this wire to trigger a relay to provide power, but you don't have to. There should be a wire that comes off the back of the momentary starter button that will be hot when the button is pushed. This wire needs to go the the trigger terminal on your starter solenoid. This is the small terminal on the starter nearest the engine block. If you get power to the distributor, and can trigger the starter she will fire up.
