yeah, this picture dosn't make sense! I don't think it's possible to rust like that. Maybe it's a photoshop?
No photoshop there. This truck belongs to a customer of mine who's name and website has escaped me at the moment. The truck had and now has again a snow plow.
The truck originaly belonged to the owners big brother who use to take him out riding around when he was a kid plowing driveways in the winter for extra money. They use to fight and argue all the time as he was growing up, but they were very close. The two had a lot of history in the truck, both good times and bad. One day his brother sold the truck witch angured him because the truck meant so mutch to him. After the truck was sold he feared that he would not ever see it again, and then his brother passed away shortly there after.
He told me that one day he was driving around and saw the truck behind a chain link fence in a storage lot. He located the new owner and worked out a deal for the purchase of the truck.
Thinking of his brother the whole time, he completely restored the truck back to mint condition, buying what parts that could be purchased from us and fabricating what he couldn't.
I thought that he would store it in his shop, keeping it as a reminder of the times he had with his brother, and the love they had fore each other. Even though they fought frequently. However he suprized me when he said that he bought another plow for it, and plows driveways with it to this day. He said that was his intention all along, and he does it out of respect of his brother's memory. I will try to remember his website and post it if I can find it. But I still think of him every once in a while, and wonder how he and his truck are doing.
Thanks culp7, for posting the picture. WES

If those trucks were on ebay they would be called rat rods and have a $20,000 price tag on them!

Re: Has To Be The Most Rusted Out Truck Ever

I had a challemger to this. A 2wd blazer I got for parts. When I unbolted the top from the driver side bed rail, the bed side down. There was about a 3" piece of bed floor still holding it on. A couple jerks and it was off.

No saws were used to tear down this rig.

Reminds me of the trucks my Grandpa used to wear out at the fertilizer plant he worked at. They looked like that after about 2 years.

That is the coolest story, I have that kind of love for my Dad's old GMC. That is why it is still in peices and it was never near that condition.

Re: Has To Be The Most Rusted Out Truck Ever

That's some restoration. Most rust I ever own was a 70 f-body. It spend most of it's time near the beach. Trunk was gone due to rubber mat and 1/4 panel was rusting out. I parted it out.

Re: Has To Be The Most Rusted Out Truck Ever

Looked at a Blazer in a scrap yard in northern Ill---Jamie_72 crawled over and through several vehicles to get inside this blazer only to get onto a bucket seat that fell through the floor with him on it. This thing had so much rust we couldn't find anything worth saving----I'm still laughing at the image of Jamie trying to catch himself as he went down and down and down!! hehehehehehe
Now another way of looking at this is ---rust put trucks into the salvage yards so we could get usable parts. If they didn't rust, we might not have access to parts like we do. Glass half full!!!!!---Now if it's 1/2 full of Jack---we're really talking!!! hehehehe
