Two Tone Color

Hello Everyone,

I'm ready to get my truck painted. I want to keep the two tone look. Any have pictures or suggestions?

Re: Two Tone Color

Ive always wanted to see a gloss black/ matte black two tone.
But as far as the traditional style , I prefer trucks that also have white on the bottom to balance out the top , not necessarily the lower body, white steelies or bumpers work too.

Are you keeping the trim ?

Re: Two Tone Color

When I painted the truck back in the late 90's I picked two colors from the 96 GMC colors. I saw one truck here that was painted in those colors. When it was first painted you could really see the difference in the two reds. After having the bottom painted the shade got a little darker so the top doesn't stand out like it did. Sometime soon I need to repaint the top and make it darker or have even thought about going to black. Stepsides are sort of hard to two tone and look right.

Re: Two Tone Color

Just wanted something a little different. The color on the top is a really cool metallic. I think the whole truck painted that color would be sweet.

Some thing to think about, will your truck be shaved or will it have the side moldings?

I think this will be a big factor on the 2 tone style you go with.
