2/4 by springs?
Is 2/4 doable with just the replacement coil springs or do I really need to use spindles or something else (I've never lowered anything before). With 2/4 will I need new shocks?
I don't typically tow, rarely will be hauling much if that makes a difference Trip |

Re: 2/4 by springs?
Trip you should be good with a 2/4 using springs only.
Check out ECE (Early Classic Enterprises) for a complete kit with everything you will need.

Re: 2/4 by springs?
Thanks! Still finding my way around the vendors...
The premium kit has a shock relocator and adjustable bar, are those really needed or just nice to have. Like, could I just do springs and shocks and later add those other things (budgeting for family life is way different than when I was single and building) Trip |

Re: 2/4 by springs?
Oh yeah, they could always be added after the fact. Heck even watch the parts board here on the site as the various parts needed pop up for sale from other projects from time-to-time.

Re: 2/4 by springs?
Definitely so... the market has really changed over the past 5-10 years and will continue too. The Parts Board is one of the best resources for new/old/NOS parts that is available.
Best of luck on the project!

Re: 2/4 by springs?
I could barely believe how different thingsThe market is completely different than when I had my 68... 40 year old parts are different than when they were 20 year old parts
I was meaning the internet, it used to all be about your little black book of those with sources and connections. This board is awesome, I'm a mile ahead of where I thought I'd be. Trip |
