Dive shaft leangth? yoke swap?

I had a th350np203 in my stepside (shortbed) and am swapping in a th350np205. the np205 is fixed yoke

Does anyone know what the stock D shaft lengths are? I know the front is shorter and the rear longer.
Does an sm465 205 use the same size?

Also I have the larger yoke and front slip yoke to match it (1350). Is this worth adding on my stock shaft if i have it lengthen?

For me the larger yoke is worth it, but it depends on the rest of your truck and how you drive, I'll get the driveline lengths tomorow. If you need any other measurements let me know, I can get them from the truck in my profile.

Are you saying that your NP203 is not a fixed yoke? What year truck are we talking about here? the '77?
Pictures?

Re: Dive shaft leangth? yoke swap?

No my 203 was also fixed yoke. Some of the 205 (198?) used a slip yoke thats why i figured i should include that.

primer Thanks for any info you can give me! That would help a bunch so I could get the shafts cut and balanced!

The rest of my truck is 10bolt front and 12 bolt G80 rear. Gear ratio is 308. My only future plans are to add a lock right to the front and maybe regear to 4:10 or... I would love to upgrade to 1 ton axles but i don't have the money and am not wheeling that hard. I know most say it is unwise to deal with half tons but my biggest tire size will be 35 for now and they should work fine.

Thanks again for all the help!
