Classic 87... Love the truck. Are you running 20s? What size tire and do you have to worry about rubbin'?

Re: Lowest possible drop?

Here is my 79' It has 275-60-15's on 15x10s with 4in backspacing. I just did a 5in flip in the back today. They fit perfectly. I have 7 leaves and no overload spring. The tires don't rub anywhere. I'm gonna do the front tomorrow.

Re: Lowest possible drop?

This thread was started with questions regarding the front...I think we all know the back is the easy part and can be dropped much more than the front.

Re: Lowest possible drop?

Here is a pic of my 79' now that it is lowered in the front too. I cut a coil and a half off and it sits perfectly. The front is a little more than an inch lower than the back.

Re: Lowest possible drop?

anyone have a problem with the dreaded chevy lean that most of these trucks have? my truck is about 3/4" lower on the drivers side then the passenger side. Should i just cut a little bit more off that spring or swap them?

Re: Lowest possible drop?

I would suggest to switch them from side to side... and thanks for the comments guys. The specs of my set up are in my sig link for the ones who were asking. Far as the lowest drop in the front... I say 6" is the max for static anyways.
Thanks,
Anthony
