What do you think of this 4-link
tvblazer78 was good enough to give me a link to a 4-link setup and I wanted to get some opinions before ordering.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWAX:IT after a little research it sounds like a panhard instead of the track bar will be better and I have a friend that is going to help set that up for me along with the rest of the install. Maybe a dumb question but I assume the bars need to sit level at ride height? Is that adjustable with a bolt it kit? I sent the seller an email with a bunch of questions and am waiting to hear back from him. I'm not sure if the tube is big enough to handle a 400 hp+ motor either. Thanks in advance for any input Adam

Ask the seller for some more detailed pics and descriptions of all the components used to make the kit. For example: what material is the tubing? What type of bushing ends and rod ends does he supply? Is the hardware all grade 8? What ride height is the four-link designed to be used at? I agree with your choice to run a panhard bar vs. the diagonal link. Just get a few more answers from the seller before you spend the dough!

Re: What do you think of this 4-link
At a quick glance I see a few things that I don't care for. The lower bar looks to be a bit low, and the bag mount is set up for double convoluted bags.
Maybe it's because of all the robo-welds Nate and some of our other members have posted, but the weld quality looks average at best. Regardless, I am sure that it will hold up, just doesn't look pretty in the pics.

Re: What do you think of this 4-link
I'm with n2trux on the welds. I'm not saying I can do better, but for purchased products, I do like them to look machined. I don't understand the 4 link too low comment though. I was under the impression that a low lower link will help with planting the tires on a traditional 4 link set up even though the angles determine this factor more.
I would think those bars could handle 400 hp well, and I wouldn't go through the trouble of a panhard bar since the diagnol comes with the kit and is bolt in. It might deflect a little from side to side, but probably just as much as the panhard bar would when going up and down. Also, even though the bag mounts are for double convoluted bags, don't sleeve bags mount the same way? I've always heard that sleeves ride better in a bag on axel set up. Don't know if this helps you any to decide, but it's just my $.02.

I think he wants to put it on a blazer and not sure he wants to cut up the body.

Re: What do you think of this 4-link
That is correct. Maybe we could encourage Nate to build that Blazer kit now...

Re: What do you think of this 4-link
Yeah Nate should be calling me today sometime. I think KP makes a kit that should bolt in for close to the same price and I might end up going that route. I can get 25% off airride through a friend but thats still $1500 which is a smoking deal but thats more than I am willing to put into this blazer.
