loose lower ball joint
I cant get a wheel alaiment cause my lower ball joint is to loose in the table. What to do? Can I tack weld it? Has anyone ever run in to this truble before? They say to get an oversise ball joint but cant find one for my truck (68 1/2 ton 2wd).

change the lower control arm so it fits

I would say that the best thing to do is get a different control arm like old rusty said. Tach welding would probably work, but it would be a real pain to get out again, and you would probably have to tach weld in a lot of places to get it solid. I would get a new one. Good luck.

I know oversized should be avilble. I looked up a set at work today for a guy with a 81.

loose ball joint
you can take care of up to .005 loosness with green lock tite. it is made for bearings and it does work. area should be very very clean and no rust. then apply locktite and instal ball joint. will only fill a .005 area.
