Thumbs up Crutchfields stereo came today

My Kenwood stereo I bought from Crutchfields came today and I got it and the new speakers installed in my 69'. Sounds very good. This is the first time I have bought from these folks and I have to say I am very pleased. It took all of 3 days to get here and everything arrived that I ordered, didn't backorder anything. Also, it was packaged very good. I called them and told them how impressed I was and I would be doing more business with them. Anybody else deal with these folks?

I have to agree with weircc. Compared to the local audio shop cfs prices are sky high.

Re: Crutchfields stereo came today

If you need the information and customer support, it is well worth the price you paid. For the rest of us that hate paying high prices, there are options like sonicelectronix.com where prices are low, but we don't need to learn anything. I'll admit that I get the crutchfield catalog and have ordered from them in the past, but only on a random sale occasion - the rest of the time I just roll my eyes at their prices and ask myself "who would pay this much?"...oh well, to each their own, you are a happy customer and that is all that matters!!

Re: Crutchfields stereo came today

I have used them for years. I had installed a stereo in my tooyota one time and I called them for assistance and they sent me a complete how to spreadsheet. I was able to tear apart my dash and install speakers at the same time thanks to them. They didnt even care that I did not buy the stereo from them, I gotta get a hold of them and get my hands on a new catalogue

Re: Crutchfields stereo came today

I have ordered a couple from them, and car audio sales and installation put food on my table for 5-6 years. Their price may seem a little higher at first, but when you figure they usually throw in the dash kit and harness that a local shop charges $40 or so for it is not too bad. Their customer service and warranty help are excellent as well.

I told you I would try to get a picture posted. I don't have any doing the install but here it is after I put it in. The P/O had cut the dash so I had to go with an aftermarket stereo. It looks alot better than the old chopped up hole and sounds pretty good to for $99.00 including two speaker's. Name: Kenwood.jpg

Re: Crutchfields stereo came today

looks great. I have used them almost exclusively. First stereo install back in high school on a buddy's k1500 they stayed on the phone for an our or so helping trace wires for the factory separate tape deck that a p/o hacked up. have not needed tech since but I know they are there.

Thanks, I ran all new wire in 1/4" flex so I didn't really need tech support but it's good to know they are that supportive.
