can someone post a specific picture of a buddy bucket seat frame
i was wondering if someone can do me a huge favor and if you have some buddy buckets, post a picture of the seat frame for the buddy buckets.
What i'm trying to see is the angle of the center support that bolts to the floor. Mine center support is angled backward, like perhaps it was bent backward, however i am not sure if it is supposed to be that way,and it would seem that it would have taken a lot of force to bend it. So if you could post a picture showing the angle of the center support bracket relative to the tublar top of the seat frame showing the angle of the bracket it would be much appreciated. thanks tom |

Dennis, what's the deal on the difference between the two frames above? One has a straight rear bar and the other is curved like the front.
Sorry for the hijack Tom.

Ive had four sets of these and seen the frame both ways. Not much of an answer but Ive always sorta wondered the same thing.

I agree with CG, I've had many sets and have seen the frame both ways. I believe HartRod suggests the curved one may have been intended for suburbans, but I'm sure plenty of them made it into trucks anyway. They seem to function exactly the same. I think they are a variation much like the folding seat option seen on some sets. Here are pics of a bare one with both curves. Sharpie

Re: can someone post a specific picture of a buddy bucket seat frame
Here is a picture of my set of Dodge buckets I removed from the Dodge.
Dodge tubes go through the bracket, and both front and rear frame tubes are straight. |

Picture of chevy seats.
The ones out of my 67 and 68, the frame tubes end at the frame bracket and the rear tube is straight. Inside the tool box you can still see the remains of the very rare tool instructions. |
