Anyone swap seats yet

Have any of yall swapped your old bench seat for a 2000 or newer split bench. Im currently looking for one. The cheapest I have found is 200 out of a wrecking yard.

Dodge Ram Quad cab. I liked the seats and console/armrest with storage compartment. I ditched the bucket brackets and made a frame to convert it to bench seat operation. I used the stock 67 seat sliders and cut down the front stands 2".

Re: Anyone swap seats yet

Did you guys have to drill all new holes for the split bench seat? or do some of the original holes work. I am goin to look at some seat this week. Don't they make some of the 60/40 seats with warmers.

Re: Anyone swap seats yet

im doing this myself with the same seats, (power) they do make em with seat warmers but unless you know what plug in harness to look for theyre not easily identifiable. ( 2 orange wores in the harness I think ) you will have to reinforce the floor where you bolt the seats to make the seat belts effective. other than that its just drill and bolt! post pics!!

Yes, The console opens up for a third seat. I ran one wire form the fuse box to power the seats. I did use 2-wire quick disconnects so I could take them out without cutting wires.

I put a set of power leather buckets in my S-10. All I had to do was hook the orange wire up to power and the black wire to ground, and I have power seats now. I don't think the silverado seats should be any different?

Re: Anyone swap seats yet

I decided to try a set of bucket seats out of a wrecked 02 Intrepid that I had in my yard. They are very easy to put in and all of the power controls are in the seat itself, so it is just a power and a ground to hook them up. I am putting a piece of 3" square tube between the floor and the seat tracks to lift them up a little bit. The seat belts are integrated into the seats on the intrepid, but it is easy to install the entire seat belt assy as well. You just have to make a braket to mount the belt to on the bottom and then bolt into the existing upper bolt hole. Sorry, I don't have pics yet, but it looks cool.
