New Pics, Autometer, dash hacking
Heres some better pics of my new autometers and dash hacking job for the new stereo. The dash looks a lot cleaner than it used to. Oh yes the new Grant wheel that came from Church. I like it!

I still want that dash. You parts distributors out there could make some money off those of us (like me) that are too timid to tackle this on their own. I'll probably start on mine soon, and most of it seems straight forward, it's just little things like mating up with the wiring harness, etc. The custom bezels that are available are all aluminum or stainless - I like having that stock bezel with real gauges. Mudder, you're an inspiration.

That looks really great Mudder, how about some details regarding guage installation, cost, etc. By the way, do you have the link to Irfanview? I would like to save the link for those that ask about pic resizing.

Thanks for the comments but it was right here on the board that I got the idea and help for the guages. It is really an easy thing to do as I am not that great with electrical. I used all electrical; guages and it was all pretty simple. To get you in the right direction with connecting to the old harness there is a thread in the FAQ that has a link to all the wiring diagrams. I used 2 5/8 guages on the bottom which takes a little trimming in the holes. I just took the chrome out of the hole.Seems like a lot of trimming but thats because its tapered. I would help anyone that needs help and I'm sure others here that have done it would also.

Randy, you ever thought about painting your glove box door black? I think it looks quite a bit better like that...esp with red.
That is a sharp looking set up you did...congrats. No wonder your rig has made it on 2 covers. ![]() If you like, I can get a pic of my red and black dash...I guess I deleted the one I had on my hard drive. |

There is a pole! I would love some more pictures of that truck.

congrats on the LMC cover, your truck is awesome.
I like your new dash, it gives a modern look to a great truck. How is it switching to a newer frame, i saw on your website that you upgraded frames a while back. david
