Big block intake w/ 3 dueces
Hey , I haven't officially started getting parts for my build yet, the more I search this site, the more my mind changes. I have my eye on this BB intake which got me pointed in yet another direction. What's it worth? Is it more trouble than expected? Would I have all kinds of trouble making it work in a SWB 4x4 4 speed? Opinions wanted, Thanks!

Re: Big block intake w/ 3 dueces
Well it's definitely more trouble than a 4bbl setup but the bigger question is, what's in your engine? A 3 deuce setup isn't like a 4bbl with vacum secondaries. How much fuel can your engine handle? Your mileage will definitely suck.

Mileage ? We don't need no stinkin' mileage! I am told it is completely stock. The intake is seperate. I was just gettin big ideas, so what ya think it's worth?

Re: Big block intake w/ 3 dueces
Just the intake alone or are the carbs included? Is it aluminum or cast iron? And what brand?
To be honest with you, I've never come across one for a big block engine before. I know that the small block manifolds are 250 and up. Last edited by highperf4x4; 03-09-2010 at 01:43 AM. |

Wasn't the L88 3 dueces and 435 HP?

Re: Big block intake w/ 3 dueces
Yup after doing a little research I find that the L88 came with a tri-power option labeled L-71.
The L88 is a 427 ci big block I would guess that a 3 deuce intake for a big block would be worth considerably more than the small block manifolds. Summit doesn't even offer one. Last edited by highperf4x4; 03-09-2010 at 02:22 AM. |

Re: Big block intake w/ 3 dueces
i would jump on that one cause theres a chance that its off a vette and people are crazy about their vette stuff! it would be sweet to run it on your truck but im guessing that you could turn decent money on it!
