Ready for top paint, questions...
I am ready to repaint my top. The top is in remarkable shape, just small stress type cracks that I think will go away with paint. I have spent all afternoon washing the top down, inside and out, with a boat hull cleaner for fiber glass , active ingredient, oxalic acid. Cleaned up real good but still needs some fresh paint. We are going to use gator guard, haven't looked for it yet but the top is white, is that a problem? Is there something better or adequate to do this job instead of this gator guard stuff? The texture on the top is really great so I am not going to have to sand it, but planning to just shoot the paint fairly easily over the original texture, see any probs there? Last, plan to take hatch off, turn top over and rest on it's top, shoot the interior, turn back over and shoot the exterior, is the top going to suffer ill effects from being turned over and resting on it's top? I know these are a lot of questions but what do you think? I sent this as a pm to Bobby K also so I hope he doesn't get upset that I am asking you all also.

Bobby K has a great link to his top repair, read it a couple of times, you might want to check it out if your haven't yet.
