What to buy first?
Wheels or Suspension.
About to come into enough cash to buy my wheels and suspension, I am wondering which i should purchase first and why. I am thinking wheels first to see how much I need to drop the truck in order to get the stance I want, but I was researching some 22's and 24's posts from back in the day and saw a previous post by 72BlckButy, which I have faith in, to do the opposite and and buy the suspension first. I use the search function... Quote:

Re: What to buy first?
Suspension first. Then you can rent or make a wheel sizing gauge to figure out what actually fits. There's always a lot of buzz on this board about drops and wheel fitment. Find a truck that looks close to what you're looking for, e-mail the owner to find out what pieces he used then go for it! A good place to start looking is the Gallery; just click on the tool bar!

Re: What to buy first?
X2 on suspension first. You can pick out your wheels afterwards.

Plus you buy wheels first that is just one more thing to keep clean.

Re: What to buy first?
Thanks for the info rob! Seeing as how I have leaf springs in the rear, I purchased the flip kit and shackle kit previously only to find out that they wouldn't work with the leaf springs that came stock with my cheyenne, don't know if it's a load of horse-crap or not, but i was able to return them. I will just be going with the 5 inch drop rear leaf springs from CPP... I was thinking about the mono-leaf 5-1/2 drop leaf springs, can anyone chime in and give feedback on those?
