Carrier bearing identification
Hi
I hyjaked a thread from Leviticus about carrier bearings. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...41#post3865941 Post #11 on above thread I would like to know if I have the right bearing, why the difference between what I bought new and what I took off my 72, and which side faces the front driveshaft. Can't find the info in my books. Can anyone out there help ? Thanks. |

Re: Carrier bearing identification
The bottom pic goes toward the driveshaft and not toward the yoke and bolt

Re: Carrier bearing identification
Thank you.
Can you tell me why the "loose" sleeve is on the opposite side of the old bearing and the new bearing ? |

Re: Carrier bearing identification
no telling it could have been apart before.
Make sure once installed it spins freely on the driveshaft before installing it |
