Re: April 2010 TOTM
I'm in. 230 straight six, 3 on the tree, two different types of rims, rusty exhaust, rusty undercarriage, plenty of bondo from the PO.

Re: April 2010 TOTM
My truck may not be worthy of winning this distinct honor but it’s qualified to be nominated. It’s got a little of everything going on:
Dent pounded out on the front fender with your basic rust outlining the creases. Rust bubbling under the paint on the lower fender. A nasty, rusty hole cut for a gas tank in the bed at some point in its life. Trailer tail lights under the bed (originals not connected if there at all). Missing chunk of bondo on bedside on passenger side with more rust where the body filler used to be. And if you hadn’t noticed it’s not your classic two-tone paintjob. The suspension squeaks like hell but you can hardly hear it over the exhaust sound (it’s got a nice rumble for a 283). I don’t have a working radio but I don’t care. It’s a runner and you gotta love that.

Re: April 2010 TOTM
My 1980 Chevy K10 has undergone many changes in it's life. Originally equipped with a 6 banger, currently powered by a 400 sb out of a 1972 Biscayne. Originally a 4 speed, a Turbo 350 transmission out of a 1978 Blazer resides in it's place. A 205 transfer case from a donor 1980 K20 with automatic transmission replaced the original stick shift version of the 205. The rear differential is out of a 1971 K10. The cab and front clip were replaced many years back with parts from a 1983 GMC. The bed and tailgate are from different states as there is no original sheet metal remaining on this truck. Actually the only original items are the frame and front axle.

Re: April 2010 TOTM
not too shabby 64pkup. at least yours doesn't appear to have been built from at least 11 vehicles, unlike the abomination.

Re: April 2010 TOTM
Here's mine, I have many plans for this beast..
*Supercharger *18x16 back wheels. big MT tires *Black body/white inserts on hood.... same matching colors as my Vette *Lowered at the moment its got a 454, 20inch wheels 275 tires, rust in the right door sill and spots around the wheel arches , I have sanded back some of the paint to make it look a little rougher! and even in spots the original ochre paint is showing through!
