floor pan replacement question

I'm fixin to put in one of those floor pan panels on the drivers side.

The panel I got runs from the hump out to the inner rocker.

It looks like the weight is resting on the structure underneath.

Can I cut all that out with the cab still mounted to the frame?

Yes but I would only cut out whats needed and leave the good. Its rare to have to use the entire panel.

- I would only fix the floor of a truck when it was bolted to the frame - to keep the integrity of the truck intact to make the repair.

Clean back the rust in the floor to good metal than go 2-4 inches outside of that
cut out crappy floor
trim patch to approximate floor patch needed
lay patch over existing floor and hole you created
use an awl or a marker and trace around the patch laid on top of the old floor
trim back original floor using the outline you just created
lay patch in and trim/grind until it can be butt welded in
