converting 3/4 ton to 1/2 ton?

I have a C2500 pickup that I've been wanting to convert to a heavy half ton two wheel drive. I was wondering if you can use six lux rotors on 3/4 ton spindles or do I have to install different spindles along with the rotors?

There is no such thing as a heavy half in the 67 - 72 trucks.
If this is for the 72 in your signiture, then you may want to consider the 5 lug suspention that would be more acurate for a 1/2 ton. You would need to replace the spindles, springs, one of the a arms (can't remember which one) and then the rotor/hub assembly. It is a lot easier to swap out the entire crossmember IMO, thats how I did my burb.

Is this truck cherry? Man....seems like it would be a lot easier to just sell that one and buy a nice 1/2 ton unless you are looking for a "project". If so, it's against the law to do this without starting a build thread. Hate to have to turn you in.............lol

Why do you want to make a 1/2 ton out of a 3/4 ton?You can do alot more with a 3/4ton. Normaly people want to make a 3/4ton out of a 1/2ton.Or you get the guys that want to make a 1 ton out of a 3/4 ton.

I wanted to make it a six lug pickup because I wanted to be different, plus I have a nice set of 15 by 10 rallies that are six lug. Two of my friends have a 1970 chevy that are two wheel drive and are six lug. I have been told by several people that they call them "Heavy Halfs". I do plan on someday converting it back to three quarter ton but I wanted a change, I would probably just get a different pickup but It was my grandpa's pickup so theres sentimental value there.

they are wrong, no heavy halfs till 10 or 15 years later.
