Makes me think of a story:
When I was just a young development engineer I received one of my first assignments. My boss and I took a manual trans truck out to the test track and drove it around. As he stroked it through the gears, he said "...hear that gear whine? You're supposed to fix it." "Fix it?!?" I said. "I like it!!"  I wonder if younger people will have any interest in any vehicle from today, 45 years from now.
