I have a question concerning the use of a late model bed floors.
Has anyone or could you even fab a late model fleetsite swb bed floor (or lwb too for that matter) to replace/repair the bed floor in a 67-72 bed that has good sided but bad floor? Are the dimentions on a 88-98 bed floor similar? How about even the 99-up bed floors??

With some cutting and welding, anything's possible. I've actually thought about doing what you're talking about to my stepside.

I cut the center section out of a 74 and welded it into my stepside - didn't want to mess with wood, wanted something different. I had to make some brackets under the bed so I could use the existing bolt holes, but came out decent. Good luck, Scott

Quite a few places carry repair panels, too. Just a thought. Good luck, Scott

i put a bed mat out of my 97 in my 72 after i sold my 97. The length is basically the same, but it is about an 1 1/2 narrower than the 72 bed.
Hope this helps you I'll post some pics later In the 97, it fit perfectly in the bed floor david

when did they stop making boxes that bolt apart, I too was wondering if the bed floor on the 73 and up was the same size as 67-72, I do think the ribs in the floor are wider on the 73 and up,

Ask Chevy71Super he replaced his floor with a late model floor. It looked good to me.
