Re: another crewcab swb build
Guys thanks for all the uplifting.
It was a 100% content loss. The house at very minimum is 100% gut and remodel on the inside. My wife was in the room sleeping that cought fire,so I am grateful she is safe , everything else can be replaced put not a life.My fire detectors worked and that is what saved her.The insurance company has been good so far. advice so far 1. if you dont have fire detectors get them,if you do besure they work 2.Check your policy Besure you have contents "replacement value" instead of depreciated value. Besure your over insured instead of being under on contents and structure both. good luck guys and again thanks for everything.

Re: another crewcab swb build
Sorry about the house. Luckily nobody got hurt.
My best friends house burned to the ground when we were in high school. They got screwed over by the insurance company with the depreciated value on their belongings. I second the check your insurance policy about the replacement value for your belongings idea. The thing that hurt them the most was losing all their family photos. I learned from that experience and have a fire safe in the house with a backup copy of all the data on the computers and all the important papers like titles, SSN cards, diplomas & passports in it. Good luck with the rebuild and with the insurance company. |

Re: another crewcab swb build
Yeah being under insured is a very common thing. My insurance agent told me to just go through and roughly start putting replacement values to items in your house, and you will quickly learn how under insured you are.
Glad everyone made it out safe. Possessions can be replaced, but loved ones can't. |
