Things are just NOT lining up...

I just finished up my front suspension rebuild and things are just not lining up. The passenger side wheel seems like it's 1.25" further in than my driver side. So, I measured from a plumb line on the outside of the fender to the rotor and it's 10" on the passenger side and it's 8.75" on the driver side (all measurements were taken with the truck on stands and no weight on it).

I don't know which side is off, but if I'm standing behind the truck about 30 ft or so and I'm looking at the back of the truck the passenger side seems a little normal and lined up with the rear wheels. And the driver side seems to not line up the same as the rear.

Also, the passenger side seems to be about an inch lower than the driver side. When I removed the stock spring, I noticed it had a spacer on it so it may just be the spring.

Any ideas what any of this could be?

Has the truck ever been hit in the front end? That could cause a misalignment like you described.

I agree sounds like something is bent, what did you replace? did you see any abnormal wear on the parts removed, was there spacers in both sides?

The front tires should be out a little farther than the rear, they were designed that way (maybe just 4x4 not sure)

Re: Things are just NOT lining up...

I noticed the passenger side was the only side with the spring spacer. I also noticed that the passenger side also had a newer ball joint than the driver side.

I don't notice anything else abnormal. All the body lines line up and I don't see any additional shims on anything.
