Non-factory Radiator
I'm in need of a radiator before I can get my truck on the road. Right now all I have is a 250 I-6 so I don't need much cooling, but plan to be a Small block V8 by the end of the year.
Anyone running a radiator out of a different vehicle other than a 67-72 truck? How much modification did you do to use it? Not the universal ones, but something I could get at the local bone yard. Thanks. |

Re: Non-factory Radiator
Back when I had my 71 pick up I used a radiator for a 73-87 truck. IIRC my friend bought it for his 76 chevy truck and never used it. I lucked out because the radiator fit perfectly. If you need me to I can measure it tonight and post them dimension tomorrow. The only problem I had was with the lower hose...the outlet on the radiator was smaller (I think) and I could not use the stock hose.

Re: Non-factory Radiator
Thanks Rcbildr, If the radiator fits in the mounts I can figure out the hoses.

Re: Non-factory Radiator
How about a rad out of a '94 C1500? I can get a brand new one for cheap.
