Heads and intake question.

I have a 73 350 block. im puting early 90s center bolt heads on it. I have the old edelbrock intake from the old heads can i make it work on the center bolt heads?

This is a good question for the engine/drivetrain area, but I believe so. You may have to wallow the holes as the newer intakes bolt more in a vertical plane than the pre 86 engines.

I'm assuming as I know its possible to bolt a tune-port system on the earlier heads. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

You'll need a new Vortec style intake I think.

He doesn't need a Vortec intake unless the heads are '96-2002 L31 Vortec heads.

To the OP. Yes you can use the early intake. You will need to elongate the center two holes on each side. Then you will need to either buy the wedge shaped washers or make them yourself. This is to give the bolt heads a flat surface to seat against.
