"valdez"
I bought this truck back in july of 2009 just now decided to start a build thread. i found it in a Home Depot parking lot with a for sale sign po was asking $1800, i kept an eye on it and the price finally dropped to $1400 and i talked him down to $1200. went home tore apart the cab and started preparing it for paint. here are some pics of that lil adventure.

Re: "valdez"
Looks real nice. I hope mine turns out like that whenever I get around to it.
I don't understand what you did with the radio hole. Did you weld a new piece in and then re-cut the hole? |

Re: "valdez"
there wasnt any rust on the interior just cab corners and the cab mounts are almost completly gone. the po cut up the radio area with tin snips so i straightened it all out and filled then cut it out now i have a cd player mounted in it just didnt have it at the time of the picture. my plans are to are pretty simple just repair the rust do some body work and paint it this summer and have it all back together before school starts again lol

Re: "valdez"
The track officials are making me put another return spring on the throttle cuz apparently they don't think the one the came with the quadrajet wasnt good enough so i built a bracket to mount on the intake i took one of the bolts out to test fit it and when i turned around i had a small puddle of coolant pooled up on the intake i over reacted and almost gave my self a heart attack lol. ill post a picture tomarrow lil to tired tonight.

Thanks for the lead on the doors Jim! wouldn't you think his dad who rebuilt the turbo 350 and provides the shop in which he works might get just a small mention?

Re: "valdez"
so its been a long while of absolutly nothing but big burn outs haha. since i got on here last time i picked up another 350 that i plan on buildin a stroker with. but ya i got the front clip in primer and just about ready for paint. but a lil over a week we had a nice little snow storm and i slid in to a 97 camry and caved in a corner of the bed. almost cried but no ticket. so now i gotta get some more body work done but i picked up some new rear tires for it today i love the rake it has now ill get some pictures on tomarrow.
