Got me a C50 Farm Truck.....

I've been wanting to have a "Big Truck" for years. I always thought they looked kind of neat and I know they aren't many around. About the only place I ever saw them for sale was on ebay, half way across the country and a bit tired. Then I found this one. I still can't beleive it is mine. I feel like a little kid at Christmas. It sure is special to me, but then again, I think they are all special!

Here are some pics before it's first bath, just how I got it.

Specs:
71 C50
350 SB
4 Speed Trans
2 Speed Rear
Non-A/C

Re: Got me a C50 Farm Truck.....

That's a great looking truck, I'd love to have one with a rollback bed on it. Although a dovetail on that one would work out great for a car hauler. Finding one with that good of a body is a great score!

All joking aside, a rollback system would be nice. But for now, I just want to clean her up while addressing the few rust spots.

Great find!!! Very clean!!! I love mine!!! Remember....study up on your local and frederal DOT laws governing vehicle over 10,000 GVW. You have now entered into a different set of rules. Commercial or private, for hire or not for hire.....the GVW sets the rules and all it takes is one "by the book" officer and you might learn some rules the hard way!

Re: Got me a C50 Farm Truck.....

You are a lucky man!!!
I would love to have one of those myself, I'd give it a total Cheyenne Super interior down to the logo on the Glove Box.
About 6 years ago I went back home to visit my Dad, a company that came to fix the water main had just bought a 72, C/60 with a 427 from a local Fire Department to use in there fleet, it was like new.
I have wanted one ever since.
