A Noob Question
The forum here is great and I am a newbie with a 1987 Square Body that I am trying to get up to speed to be a daily driver. I was wondering if it is a good idea to run 275/60/15's all around or run 255/60/15's up front??? Any suggestions??? Also, anyone in the Dallas, TX area know of a good interior shop and paint shop??? Let me know...Thanks guys....

Re: A Noob Question
In the interest of economy, the tires should all be the same size so they can be rotated. It actually does help tire mileage a lot. Some folks like the raked look of smaller tires on the front, it's a matter of personal taste. If tires are cheap, make yourself feel good, do whatever you like. There will be a slight brake difference as using smaller tires on the front increases front brake efficiency.

Re: A Noob Question
255/70's are a nice choice as well as the 275/60's. Either tire fits nice on an 8" wheel.

Re: A Noob Question
I had a 74 Dodge shortbox, ran 15x7 w/235-60 on the front, 15x8 w/275-60 on the back. Gave the truck a nice raked look with no lowering to the suspension. It's a matter of taste, but I really liked the look.

Re: A Noob Question
Cool, I do like the idea of being able to rotate the tires though....I noticed with the 275's up front, the truck seems to ride soft. Maybe time for some shocks???
