Question 77 K5 Blazer question

I just bought a 1977 K5 Blazer with all of the factory stuff on it.

It has the 203 Chain drive t-case. I was wondering if I found a 205 Gear-drive do I have to have the drive shafts of of a Blazer with the 205 or will my shafts work??

Did the K5 come with the 205?? Mine has the 350 Turbo and 400 smallblock.

I have a couple of other trucks that have the SM 465 and 205 but nothing with the 350 Turbo and 205.

Will I be stuck with this thing or need to go to the 208 even. I know those came in Blazers???

Thanks guys.

Re: 77 K5 Blazer question

You could get a 205 and an automatic in 1980 for sure, maybe 1979 as well? The 203 is not a bad case, especially if you get a part time kit and new lock outs for your truck.
