*Need Help* Pics of '71'72 paint jobs

Well, this weekend is the time! I'll be taking a week off to finish the resto and paint on my '72. Here's my delima... The truck is currrently a medium blue with white and my wife and I decided to stick with that color scheme right? Wrong!!! lol

Tonight she asks what "Red" or "light blue" would look like. Since im taking this truck down to the frame to paint it, a color change wont be a big deal.

What I need is 3 pictures of restored trucks.
Red w/white
Blue w/white
mint green w/white

Please help me out guys, the wife wont leave me alone until I get this figured out!

Color Choice

Painted my truck Apple Red ( Code 72) and Lt. Mesa Brown [Whjeat] (Code 37)..... I saw this color combo on a 89-90 Chev suburban and like the color contrast with the wheat center color instead of the white that GM uses as standard. Also; the cab top is same color as main body color......Jim

Thanks for the pics guys. Could someone with photoshop skills paint my truck Red or mint green with the white just as it is? I'm just about decided on the Red but the wife wants a better look at the truck.

Thanks again

What color are you going to paint the '71 that you used to have as your Avatar, Garrett? The original color or something else?

One more medium blue/white combo. I think you can't go wrong with almost any combination on these trucks.

Anyone have a Dark Blue and white truck. My option sheet lists my truck as Wht/Dk. Blue/Wht. option number 148210. My paint I'm sure is pretty faded, but it looks like ya'lls Medium blue? IS/was there a dark blue color option?

My tail gate I used was a 72 dark blue. It looks more like a navy blue? but it wasnt a 2 tone option it was all blue. Sorry, don't have a pick for ya.

Hummmmmmm...............
This is a pic of my truck, and on this side as far as I can tell, I think the paint is original?????????
Does it look the same color as the other "medium blue" trucks above?
Is it just me or did G.M. seem to have a liberal (not strict) policy when it came to option codes, seems to be alot of confusion in some of the posts I've read over the last few months.
I guess it doesn't make alot of difference, until I go to paint my truck, just curious though.
Mike
