Re: What type of bench seat is everyone using for AD pickups?

The seat is 53" wide. The height and depth were almost the same as the original seat.
I plan on making the seat just to fit me. Good reason to keep others from driving.

Re: What type of bench seat is everyone using for AD pickups?

A friend gave me a seat out of a '96 S10. The seat could be a little wider for my taste but I need this seat for my shifter clearance. The T56 six speed shifter will be where the seat notch is. I need to raise the seat; it is setting on the floor not mounted. I'm going to remove the head rest when I have the seat recovered.

Ive got a chevy truck crew cab rear seat in mine. It has a thin back, fold down armrest, and fits perfect. Ill get it recovered this winter.

I looked at this kind of seat and they are a bit of a problem to recover. On some full size GM seats the covers unzip and can be pulled off leaving the foam. The type in your picture has the upholstery glued to the foam and is a bugger to separate.

Hmmm, mine have zippers but not sure if they are glued. This one is a crew cab back seat...not sure if they are different but it fits like a glove.

Has anyone run the glide seats? My friend that does interior work keeps trying to get me to go this route. They are spendy but look nice.

Re: What type of bench seat is everyone using for AD pickups?

Does anyone know if a 97 ford F150 seat will fit? This is on Craigslist and the seller will not tell me the dimensions.... All he says is "it will fit a ford"
