sterring column?????

how do u identify a steering column, mine is definitley not the stock column but its been in for years. I have no idea? i had a floor shifter and ddont like it so i want to use a regular shifter, seems to hve the shifter but not sure if it will work, i also need the bushing at the lower piece by the mechanism. id buy a new one but the turn switch is new, it has no play on the top and not in bad shap help guys...

What kind of trans do you have? Does your column have the ignition key in it? If you could show some pics it might help

i have a turbo 350 for now, tilt column no key, the firwall bracket fits, wiring plugs right up but hazards don't work.

Hazards may just be the flasher is bad. If it fits and has no key on it, it may be a van tilt. Pics would definitely help ID it.
