Re: farm and show truck build

Those look like the wrong year gauges for that year truck, that's why they don't work.

Looks great so far.

Re: farm and show truck build

I used the correct pigtail for the gauges and followed a wiring diagram, but they all went crazy

Re: farm and show truck build

Not bad. I love these trucks with flatbeds. How is that bed mounted to the frame? Keep up the good work.

Re: farm and show truck build

Ok, but I meant how is it spaced off the frame? Do the beds braces sit that high or are there some kind of spacer blocks or something of that nature?

Re: farm and show truck build

Ok, thanks. I may build one like that for mine, not as fancy, but useable. I'm thinking about taking my box off so I can work on a few things on it.

Re: farm and show truck build

please dont weld the flatbed on, you'll hate yourself. on my truck we got some good pieces of hardwood as spacers, to bring the flat sided channel up over the frame hump and we made hold downs with some rod and a plate on either end that wraps around the frame and the body. thats how my dads truck was done and he hauled a gooseneck with the ball mounted on the body
