Need some TV Cable help from my LT1/700r4 friends.
I have a 1995 LT1 (the same from 1994-96) and I need to know what all of you are using to connect the TV cable to the throttle linkage. I've seen the drawing on line that shows the geometry it is SUPPOSED to move through but no one sells one after market. I've seen the Autolok and Lokar pieces but their are designed to use their own TV cable and TV cable mounting bracket. I'm using a 1993 Camaro TV mounting bracket and TV cable.
There has to be a better solution out there, other than swapping to a 1993 throttle body, right? Anyone have a design they can post? |

if anybody has one it will be street and performance out of mena arkansas. hotrodlane.cc i believe. i absoulty hate those people. they treat you like a friggin retard and you will be raped if you buy anything from them. i recently talked to them at the street rod nationals about an intake+filter for my lm7 in my '57 and the guy was really hateful and very patronizing. they had what i needed but i'll take my business elsewhere...

Hey no problem asking questions.
I had the 700r4 in the truck when I bought it and the 4L60 that came with the motor was junk. The guy that did the computer and wiring harness work also down loaded a new program in the ECM that eliminates the computer control of the transmission, vats, rev. limiter, etc. Anyway, the TV cable is a manual shift control for this style of transmisssion and I need to copy someone's throttle linkage bracket to have the correct amount of pull on the cable. The tolerances are pretty close for something you'll hammer from a piece of thin plate or flat bar. |

Edelbrock makes a bracket that has fittings for both throttle and tranny cable. It may need to be massaged a bit, but it has all the stuff you'll need. I picked one up at SDPC when we did a stroker kit for my son's truck.
