Vent window help

I want to replace the glass in my vent windows. Anyone know how to remove and replace the glass only? Thanks in advance.

Re: Vent window help

It's put in with tape - you should be able to just pop it out and replace it with the new glass - you need to go to a glass store to get some of the tape that goes around the edges, but it's a pretty easy job, really.

Re: Vent window help

You should be able to use a heat gun to warm up the metal where the glass sits. You may see some smoke coming out from the rubber used to hold the glas in place and that's ok. Get it all warm and then start working the glass out. You will need to keep going over it with the heat and then all of a sudden it will all come out.
You can get the tapa to put it back in with at a auto parts store like NAPA or a paint supply store. Just tell them what you are doing and they will know what you need.
