Re: Door seal tape
do yourself a favor and find an early s10 and take the snap on seals off the door jams. This will save you many hours of labor and the feeling of cheap aftermarket seals that do not seal very well after a few good hot days.
the s10 seals are almost a direct fit, they just need minor trimming to make fit great, they seem to seal a bit better than stock, and go on a 100 times easier! but if you must attempt a glue/snot job with some stock seals, just remember a few things.... go slow & do a little section at a time letting it tack real good before moving on, this approach can reward you with good glued in seals, but with that said, they are only as good as stock glued in seals ever where. I found this information on this site, do a search, I did, and was truly surprised how effect this information was. Scott |

Re: Door seal tape
while your doing it i always liked to hold it up with scotch tape so it will stay put then shut the door while its still tacky so the door will help cure the glue

Re: Door seal tape
GMC paul sell some push on weather strip seals for our trucks. I removed my brand new glue on seals just the other day to install these.

Re: Door seal tape
I believe the GMC Pauls are actually out of Dodge Dakotas. Don't know what year. I installed in my 72. Been in 3 years and they were fairly easy to install using a rubber hammer.

Re: Door seal tape

If you are really cheap like me you can go to the salvage yard and get 1987-97 Dodge Dakota slide on weatherstrips. You will need to take a phillips screwdriver, small hammer and a small pry bar to get them off. You can usually get a nice pair for under 10 bucks... You have to cut about three inches off of them.
