gas tank relocation
Hi! my name is Alan and I just bought a 69 c10 and i'm new to this model year of truck. I used to have an 86 c10 but my brother totaled it. The gas tank behind the seat is leaking and if I'm gonna take it out anyway, I might as well relocate the fuel cell. I know there are kits but there are also tanks that I could use from other donor vehicles. Is one preferred over the other? What are your experiences? Where is the best place to locate the filler neck? Any help you can give me is well appreciated.

Re: gas tank relocation
Dave Boyd - a board member here builds nice aluminum tanks that are VERY reasonably priced. Look up Boyd Welding LLC here or go to www.boydwelding.com. Here's the one he offers for our trucks, and he offers a few filler neck options. This is on my '69, and came with the sending unit installed.
