Re: Road trip essentials
I plan on some new wheels down the road, keep one as a spare and two for drag radials. Just throw the spare in for trips. I hate the fender cut out

Re: Road trip essentials
I take a toolbox, a gallon of fifty/fifty,a cooler full of beer and beef jerky. If you ask Nate he would say a water pump.

Re: Road trip essentials
I always have a reasonably complete tool set and fluids to top off whatever might be leaking. In addition to some of the suggestions above, I always carried an extra stock fuel pump, hoses and clamps, and either points/condenser or HEI module. 4x4 and manual trans is nice too. Can't tell you how many times I drove home in front wheel drive because of broken u-joints or 12 bolt rears. Maybe u-joint is another good spare?
