Oil Pressure Gauge Not Working
I have a 86 swb, with a 305, A few months ago my oil pressure gauge stopped working. It would just stick at a pressure and "twitch" occasionally. A few days after that I noticed my sender was leaking so I replaced it but the guage never started working again. Any ideas?

Just make sure you get one with the same range as the sender you are using. It will read wrong if you put an 80 psi gauge with a 60 psi sender or vise versa.

Thank you, thats what I was thinking. Now another question, whats the best place to get a guage. Are they hard to replace?

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge Not Working
The stock gauge has to have the instrument cluster panel, lens etc removed then the gauge should just pull out. It mounts into a trio of connectors (not sure what you call them).
Not sure where to get a bone stock replacement. Aftermarket would be the way to go in my opinion, of course then it wouldn't match the rest of your gauges. You might want to consider just relocating a mechanical gauge mounted under your dash.

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge Not Working
Your local junk yard...should be dirt cheap and definitely not rare, if the new (replacement) fails to work, they most likely will let you grab another.
