Man oh Man troubles gonna start.. well heres my take on it... The box is correct for 1972 Black shoulder belt set-up. The part number on the box is 72 black shoulder belts for a truck.
Now the instruction are for a G body vehicle.. which is a van. Van seat belts attached to the side of the mounts for the seats. The pics of those side mounts are van mounts. There may be some simaliarities comparing van seat belts to truck but not really enough to be mislead that they are truck seat belts. I think they're van man.....let Jerry Brown know.

Thanks for your opinion Rod. I figured someone here could decipher the part # off the box. Your probably exactly right about the van connection. Me and Jerry Brown will be discussing this soon. I'm not saying he deliberately ripped me off either. He might have bought these thinking they were the real thing also. It's not like you run across a original set or a truck with an original set in it everyday. The pictures you guys posted were the first ones I've ever seen.

If you guys still need info on the belts I can measure the ones in my truck. Its dark right now and I don't have power to the new shop yet. These belts came out of a 1970 one owner truck I parted. The Guy said the dealer put these in when the truck was new.

Sure thing Joe... I'm looking to see if the steel bracket in the plastic holder is flat or has a bend on the end... I dont think the bottom pieces that attach to the floor have any plastic... need that answered also. Is there a metal sleeve that allows for the bolt to pivot the holder such as in my posted pic of the blue plastic ends. Is the hole for access on the back of the plastic like in the blue ends pic I posted or smaller like the other posted.
Any numbers on stitched pad on belt for a part number or such. Lenghts of each piece possibly. Size of that dimple.. maybe I can heat up a piece of metal and mold my own dimple. ...LOL... that sounds like a lot dont it....LOL. Rod

belt
Here is a photo of the dimple. It is a 1/2 inch long and 1/4 inch wide. The ends of the belts (all 3) where they bolt to the floor under the seat all have a slight bend in them. There is also a boot on it. The length of the shoulder belt itself is 24 1/2 inches from the webslit to webslit (where the webbing loops through). good luck

That 24 1/2 inches .. is that just the top shoulder piece or the lenght of each piece...top and bottom piece.

length
That is just from the shoulder stud to the lap buckle. I dont know which buckle is specifically for the shoulder strap, but it is either 4 inches shorter or longer than the lap belt (40 or 36 inches). That is the difference between the 2 for that seat location. Again, I do apologize.

Did not mean to get anybody upset by my post. I should of have looked up the part number on the box before spouting It is obvious the belts did not come in that box. Quote "The box is correct for 1972 Black shoulder belt set-up" and the belts are blue. Dont know what I was thinking when I said Blazer or Suburban as I all I have seen have retractors. I believe you are correct Rod, they are van belts. Hate to see somebody get something that was misrepresented even if it was not intentional. Good luck with your project Rod.
