Weight of truck?

Went to the local gravel pit for some driveway slag. My truck is 3/4 ton 4X4 with 350/4 speed. Nothing else. Empty weight was 5150 with my wife and I in it. Subtract about 450 so the truck was 4700 lb. Does this sound a little heavy? Oh, weight of truck leaving was 8650 lb. 3500 lb of slag. Made it squat and groan a little but it got us home with no problems.

Yup, my SWB 2 wheel drive small block/Th350 truck is just shy of 4000 pounds.

My C20 weighs exactly 4790. Although it has with a spare tire, a heavy duty step bumper, two saddle tanks (empty), wooden bed, A/C, and TH400 trans.

my 1/2 ton 4x4 with 350/350 weighs 4400lbs, so 4700 for a 3/4 ton is about right

Had mine weighed several years ago, 5300# with me in it (under 150), dunno how much fuel - with saddle tanks, it holds a bit over 50 gal.
